حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً لَقِيَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ لِي إِلَيْكَ حَاجَةً. قَالَ: «يَا أُمَّ فُلَانٍ، اجْلِسِي فِي أَيِّ نَوَاحِي السِّكَكِ شِئْتِ، أَجْلِسْ إِلَيْكِ». قَالَ: فَقَعَدَتْ، فَقَعَدَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى قَضَتْ حَاجَتَهَا.
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A woman met the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ on one of the streets of Madīnah and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have a need I would like you to fulfill for me.” He said to her, “Mother of so and so, sit on whichever side of the street you wish, and I will sit with you .” So she sat down, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ sat with her until she had finished what she needed.
