These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website, services, content and features made available through Islam Academy.

Islam Academy is currently operated by:

02

Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using Islam Academy, you agree to comply with these Terms to the extent applicable to your use of the service.

When you create an account, you will be asked to acknowledge these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create or use an Islam Academy account.

03

Eligibility and age

Islam Academy currently permits users aged 15 years or older to create their own account.

Users under 15 should not create an account at this stage because Islam Academy does not currently provide a dedicated parental authorisation process for younger users.

If you are a minor, your ability to enter into these Terms may remain subject to applicable law and to the rights and responsibilities of your parent or legal guardian.

04

Your account

Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

Information you provide when creating or managing your account should be accurate and should not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

You must notify Islam Academy promptly if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorisation.

We may require reasonable steps to verify account ownership before carrying out security-sensitive requests.

05

You must not misuse Islam Academy or interfere with its operation, security or other users.

  • access or attempt to access another user's account or data without authorisation;
  • probe, scan, exploit or circumvent security measures or access controls;

Religious and educational content

Educational purpose

Islam Academy provides Islamic educational resources and tools intended to assist users in learning, studying and accessing religious material.

Islam Academy is not a substitute for personalised religious guidance from a suitably qualified scholar. Content made available through the platform should not automatically be understood as a personalised fatwa or religious ruling applicable to your individual circumstances.

Questions involving individual circumstances, conflicting scholarly opinions, legal consequences or significant religious decisions may require consultation with an appropriately qualified person.

We aim to present religious material accurately and responsibly. However, translations, transliterations, references, classifications, metadata and other supporting information may contain errors, omissions or differences of scholarly interpretation.

Where Islam Academy identifies a source, translator, scholar, collection or grading, that attribution should be considered when interpreting the material.

08

Sources and third-party content

Islam Academy may display, reference, organise or link to material originating from third parties, including translations, scholarly works, hadith collections, reference databases and external resources.

Third-party material remains subject to the rights, terms and attribution requirements applicable to that material. Its inclusion on Islam Academy does not mean that Islam Academy owns all rights in that material.

Attribution to a third-party source does not necessarily mean that the source sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with Islam Academy.

09

Intellectual property

Subject to third-party rights and material in the public domain, the Islam Academy website, software, original written material, visual identity, design, organisation and other original elements may be protected by intellectual-property laws.

The name, branding and original elements of Islam Academy may not be used in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim exclusive ownership over the Qur'an itself or other material that is not legally owned by Islam Academy.

10

Personalised features

Islam Academy may provide personalised features such as profiles and bookmarks.

Some personalised interactions with religious content may reveal information about religious interests or beliefs. Where required, Islam Academy requests explicit consent separately before storing such information.

This consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms. You may withdraw it through your account settings. Where indicated, withdrawing consent may remove associated personalised data, such as saved bookmarks.

11

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Islam Academy available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.

Features may be added, modified, temporarily suspended or removed for maintenance, security, legal, technical or product-development reasons.

Where a material change significantly affects users or their data, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate information where required.

12

Suspension and termination

Islam Academy may restrict or suspend access to an account where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • these Terms have been materially or repeatedly violated;
  • the account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully;
  • the account or its activity creates a security risk;
  • restriction is reasonably necessary to protect Islam Academy, its users or third parties;
  • we are required to act by law or a competent authority.

Where appropriate and legally possible, we will seek to use proportionate measures and provide information about significant account restrictions.

13

Account deletion

You may permanently delete your Islam Academy account through the account settings made available on the platform.

Account deletion is intended to remove account-linked personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to information that must or may lawfully be retained for limited purposes.

Account deletion is permanent and may result in the loss of bookmarks and other account-specific information.

14

External services and links

Islam Academy may contain links to websites, resources or services operated by third parties.

We do not control third-party services and their use may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. A link does not by itself constitute an endorsement of every statement, product or service available through the linked website.

15

Disclaimers

Accuracy and availability

Islam Academy is developed with the aim of providing useful and reliable educational resources, but errors, omissions, technical interruptions or outdated information may occur.

Users should consider the nature and source of information before relying on it for important decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

16

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Islam Academy is not responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from misuse of the service contrary to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or mandatory rights available to consumers.

17

Privacy

Your personal data

Our processing of personal information is described separately in the Islam Academy Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of these Terms does not by itself constitute consent to optional processing of special-category personal data.

Read the Privacy Policy
18

Changes to these Terms

Islam Academy may update these Terms as the service, applicable law or our organisational structure changes.

The current version and its last-updated date will be available on this page.

If a change materially affects registered users, we may provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance where appropriate or legally required.

19

Applicable law

These Terms are currently governed by French law, subject to any mandatory protections or rights that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive consumers of mandatory protections or dispute-resolution rights available under applicable law.
