1
Verse 1

ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مُّعْرِضُونَ

Transliteration

Iqtaraba linnaasi hisaabuhum wa hum fee ghaflatim mu'ridoon

Translation

˹The time of˺ people’s judgment has drawn near, yet they are heedlessly turning away.

Verse 2

مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

Transliteration

Maa ya'teehim min zikrim mir Rabbihim muhdasin illas tama'oohu wa hum yal'aboon

Translation

Whatever new reminder comes to them from their Lord, they only listen to it jokingly,

Verse 3

لَاهِيَةًۭ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

Transliteration

Laahiyatan quloobuhum; wa asarrun najwal lazeena zalamoo hal haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum 'afa ta'toonas sihra wa antum tubsiroon

Translation

with their hearts ˹totally˺ distracted. The evildoers would converse secretly, ˹saying,˺ “Is this ˹one˺ not human like yourselves? Would you fall for ˹this˺ witchcraft, even though you can ˹clearly˺ see?”

Verse 4

قَالَ رَبِّى يَعْلَمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Transliteration

Qaala Rabbee ya'lamul qawla fis samaaa'i wal ardi wa Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

Translation

The Prophet responded, “My Lord ˹fully˺ knows every word spoken in the heavens and the earth. For He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”

Verse 5

بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَٰثُ أَحْلَٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌۭ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍۢ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

Transliteration

Bal qaalooo adghaasu ahlaamin bal iftaraahu bal huwa shaa'irun fal ya'tinaa bi Aayatin kamaa ursilal awwaloon

Translation

Yet they say, “This ˹Quran˺ is a set of confused dreams! No, he has fabricated it! No, he must be a poet! So let him bring us a ˹tangible˺ sign like those ˹prophets˺ sent before.”

Verse 6

مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Transliteration

Maaa aaamanat qablahum min qaryatin ahlaknaahaa a-fahum yu'minoon

Translation

Not a ˹single˺ society We destroyed before them ever believed ˹after receiving the signs˺. Will these ˹pagans˺ then believe?

Verse 7

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Transliteration

Wa maaa arsalnaa qablaka illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim fas'aloo ahlaz zikri in kuntum laa ta'lamoon

Translation

We did not send ˹messengers˺ before you ˹O Prophet˺ except mere men inspired by Us. If you ˹polytheists˺ do not know ˹this already˺, then ask those who have knowledge ˹of the Scriptures˺.

Verse 8

وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ جَسَدًۭا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰلِدِينَ

Transliteration

Wa maa ja'alnaahum jasadal laa ya'kuloonat ta'aama wa maa kaanoo khaalideen

Translation

We did not give those messengers ˹supernatural˺ bodies that did not need food, nor were they immortal.

Verse 9

ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Transliteration

Summa sadaqnaa humul wa'da fa-anjainaahum wa man nashaaa'u wa ahlaknal musrifeen

Translation

Then We fulfilled Our promise to them, saving them along with whoever We willed and destroying the transgressors.

Verse 10

لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَٰبًۭا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Transliteration

Laqad anzalnaaa ilaikum Kitaaban feehi zikrukum afalaa ta'qiloon (Section 1)

Translation

We have surely revealed to you a Book, in which there is glory for you. Will you not then understand?

Verse 11

وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍۢ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةًۭ وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Transliteration

Wa kam qasamnaa min qaryatin kaanat zaalimatanw wa ansha' naa ba'dahaa qawman aakhareen

Translation

˹Imagine˺ how many societies of wrongdoers We have destroyed, raising up other people after them!

Verse 12

فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

Transliteration

Falammaaa ahassoo ba'sanaaa izaa hum minhaa yarkudoon

Translation

When the wrongdoers sensed ˹the arrival of˺ Our torment, they started to run away from their cities.

Verse 13

لَا تَرْكُضُوا۟ وَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُونَ

Transliteration

Laa tarkudoo warji'ooo ilaa maaa utriftum feehi wa masaakinikum la'allakum tus'aloon

Translation

˹They were told,˺ “Do not run away! Return to your luxuries and your homes, so you may be questioned ˹about your fate˺.”

Verse 14

قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Qaaloo yaa wailanaaa innaa kunnaa zaalimeen

Translation

They cried, “Woe to us! We have surely been wrongdoers.”

15
Verse 15

فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَٰمِدِينَ

Transliteration

Famaa zaalat tilka da'waahum hattaa ja'alnaahum haseedan khaamideen

Translation

They kept repeating their cry until We mowed them down, ˹leaving them˺ lifeless.

16
Verse 16

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

Transliteration

Wa maa khalaqnas samaaa'a wal arda wa maa bainahumaa laa'ibeen

Translation

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything in between for sport.

Verse 17

لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًۭا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

Transliteration

Law aradnaaa an nattakhiza lahwal lat takhaznaahu mil ladunnaaa in kunnaa faa'ileen

Translation

Had We intended to take ˹some˺ amusement, We could have found it in Our presence, if that had been Our Will.

Verse 18

بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌۭ ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ

Transliteration

Bal naqzifu bilhaqqi 'alal baatili fa yadmaghuhoo fa izaa huwa zaahiq; wa lakumul wailu mimmaa tasifoon

Translation

In fact, We hurl the truth against falsehood, leaving it crushed, and it quickly vanishes. And woe be to you for what you claim!

Verse 19

وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ

Transliteration

Wa lahoo man fis samaawaati wal ard; wa man 'indahoo laa yastakbiroona 'an 'ibaada tihee wa laa yastahsiroon

Translation

To Him belong all those in the heavens and the earth. And those nearest to Him are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they tire.

Verse 20

يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ

Transliteration

Yusabbihoona laila wannahaara laa yafturoon

Translation

They glorify ˹Him˺ day and night, never wavering.

21
Verse 21

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ

Transliteration

Amit takhazooo aalihatam minal ardi hum yunshiroon

Translation

Or have they taken gods from the earth, who can raise the dead?

Verse 22

لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Transliteration

Law kaana feehimaaa aalihatun illal laahu lafasadataa; fa-Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'Arshi 'ammaa yasifoon

Translation

Had there been other gods besides Allah in the heavens or the earth, both ˹realms˺ would have surely been corrupted. So Glorified is Allah, Lord of the Throne, far above what they claim.

Verse 23

لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْـَٔلُونَ

Transliteration

Laa yus'alu 'ammaa yaf'alu wa hum yus'aloon

Translation

He cannot be questioned about what He does, but they will ˹all˺ be questioned.

Verse 24

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةًۭ ۖ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ ۖ هَٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِىَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِى ۗ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Transliteration

Amit takhazoo min doonihee aalihatan qul haatoo burhaanakum haaza zikru mam ma'iya wa zikru man qablee; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoonal haqqa fahum mu'ridoon

Translation

Or have they taken other gods besides Him? Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Show ˹me˺ your proof. Here is ˹the Quran,˺ the Reminder for those with me; along with ˹earlier Scriptures,˺ the Reminder for those before me.” But most of them do not know the truth, so they turn away.

Verse 25

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

Transliteration

Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika mir Rasoolin illaa nooheee ilaihi annahoo laaa ilaaha illaaa Ana fa'budoon

Translation

We never sent a messenger before you ˹O Prophet˺ without revealing to him: “There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Me, so worship Me ˹alone˺.”

Verse 26

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًۭا ۗ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ ۚ بَلْ عِبَادٌۭ مُّكْرَمُونَ

Transliteration

Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa; Subhaanahu bal 'ibaadum mukramoon

Translation

And they say, “The Most Compassionate has offspring!” Glory be to Him! In fact, those ˹angels˺ are only ˹His˺ honoured servants,

Verse 27

لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِۦ يَعْمَلُونَ

Transliteration

Laa yasbiqoonahoo bil qawli wa hum bi amrihee ya'maloon

Translation

who do not speak until He has spoken, ˹only˺ acting at His command.

28
Verse 28

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِۦ مُشْفِقُونَ

Transliteration

Ya'lamu maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yashfa'oona illaa limanir tadaa wa hum min khash yatihee mushfiqoon

Translation

He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them. They do not intercede except for whom He approves, and they tremble in awe of Him.

Verse 29

۞ وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّىٓ إِلَٰهٌۭ مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa mai yaqul minhum inneee ilaahum min doonihee fazaalika najzeehi Jahannam; kazaalika najziz zaalimeen (section 2)

Translation

Whoever of them were to say, “I am a god besides Him,” they would be rewarded with Hell by Us. This is how We reward the wrongdoers.

Verse 30

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًۭا فَفَتَقْنَٰهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Transliteration

Awalam yaral lazeena kafarooo annas samaawaati wal arda kaanataa ratqan fafataqnaa humaa wa ja'alnaa minal maaa'i kulla shai'in haiyin afalaa yu'minoon

Translation

Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

31
Verse 31

وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًۭا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Transliteration

Wa ja'alnaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bihim wa ja'alnaa feehaa fijaajan subulal la'allahum yahtadoon

Translation

And We have placed firm mountains upon the earth so it does not shake with them, and made in it broad pathways so they may find their way.

Verse 32

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ سَقْفًۭا مَّحْفُوظًۭا ۖ وَهُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ

Transliteration

Wa ja'alnas samaaa'a saqfam mahfoozanw wa hum 'an Aayaatihaa mu'ridoon

Translation

And We have made the sky a well-protected canopy, still they turn away from its signs.

33
Verse 33

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ

Transliteration

Wa Huwal lazee khalaqal laila wannahaara washshamsa wal qamara kullun fee falakiny yasbahoon

Translation

And He is the One Who created the day and the night, the sun and the moon—each travelling in an orbit.

34
Verse 34

وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ أَفَإِي۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِدُونَ

Transliteration

Wa maa ja'alnaa libasharim min qablikal khuld; afa immitta fahumul khaalidoon

Translation

We have not granted immortality to any human before you ˹O Prophet˺: so if you die, will they live forever?

35
Verse 35

كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةًۭ ۖ وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Transliteration

Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawt; wa nablookum bi sharri walkhairi fitnatanw wa ilainaa turja'oon

Translation

Every soul will taste death. And We test you ˹O humanity˺ with good and evil as a trial, then to Us you will ˹all˺ be returned.

36
Verse 36

وَإِذَا رَءَاكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى يَذْكُرُ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ

Transliteration

Wa izaa ra aakal lazeena kafarooo iny-yattakhizoonaka illa huzuwan; ahaazal lazee yazkuru aalihatakum wa hum bi zikrir Rahmaani hum kaafiroon

Translation

When the disbelievers see you ˹O Prophet˺, they only make fun of you, ˹saying,˺ “Is this the one who speaks ˹ill˺ of your gods?” while they disbelieve at the mention of the Most Compassionate.

37
Verse 37

خُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِنْ عَجَلٍۢ ۚ سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

Transliteration

Khuliqal insaanu min 'ajal; sa ureekum Aayaatee falaa tasta'jiloon

Translation

Humankind is made of haste. I will soon show you My signs, so do not ask Me to hasten them.

38
Verse 38

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

Transliteration

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

Translation

They ask ˹the believers˺, “When will this threat come to pass if what you say is true?”

Verse 39

لَوْ يَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

Transliteration

Law ya'lamul lazeena kafaroo heena laa yakuffoona 'anw wujoohihimun Naara wa laa 'an zuhoorihim wa laa hum yunsaroon

Translation

If only the disbelievers knew that a time will come when they will not be able to keep the Fire off their faces or backs, nor will they be helped.

40
Verse 40

بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةًۭ فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

Transliteration

Bal ta'teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falaa yastatee'oona raddahaa wa laa hum yunzaroon

Translation

In fact, the Hour will take them by surprise, leaving them stunned. So they will not be able to avert it, nor will it be delayed from them.

Verse 41

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Transliteration

Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon (section 3)

Translation

˹Other˺ messengers had already been ridiculed before you ˹O Prophet˺, but those who mocked them were overtaken by what they used to ridicule.

42
Verse 42

قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۗ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Transliteration

Qul mai yakla 'ukum billaili wannahaari minar Rahmaan; bal hum 'an zikri Rabbihim mu'ridoon

Translation

Ask ˹them, O Prophet,˺ “Who can defend you by day or by night against the Most Compassionate?” Still they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord.

43
Verse 43

أَمْ لَهُمْ ءَالِهَةٌۭ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا ۚ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ

Transliteration

Am lahum aalihatun tamna'uhum min dooninaa; laa yastatee'oona nasra anfusihim wa laa hum minna yus-haboon

Translation

Or do they have gods—other than Us—that can protect them? They cannot ˹even˺ protect themselves, nor will they be aided against Us.

44
Verse 44

بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَآ ۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

Transliteration

Bal matta'naa haaa'ulaaa'i wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa taala 'alaihimul 'umur; afalaa yarawna anna na'til arda nanqusuhaa min atraafihaa; afahumul ghaaliboon

Translation

In fact, We have allowed enjoyment for these ˹Meccans˺ and their forefathers for such a long time ˹that they took it for granted˺. Do they not see that We gradually reduce ˹their˺ land from its borders? Is it they who will then prevail?

Verse 45

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ

Transliteration

Qul innamaaa unzirukum bilwahyi; wa laa yasma'us summud du'aaa 'a izaa maa yunzaroon

Translation

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I warn you only by revelation.” But the deaf cannot hear the call when they are warned!

46
Verse 46

وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌۭ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa la'in massat hum nafhatun min 'azaabi Rabbika la yaqoolunna yaawailanaaa innnaa kunnaa zaalimeen

Translation

If they were touched by even a breath of your Lord’s torment, they would certainly cry, “Woe to us! We have really been wrongdoers.”

47
Verse 47

وَنَضَعُ ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ ٱلْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍۢ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَٰسِبِينَ

Transliteration

Wa nada'ul mawaazeenal qista li Yawmil Qiyaamati falaa tuzlamu nafsun shai'aa; wa in kaana misqaala habbatim min khardalin atainaa bihaa; wa kafaa binaa haasibeen

Translation

We will set up the scales of justice on the Day of Judgment, so no soul will be wronged in the least. And ˹even˺ if a deed is the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as a ˹vigilant˺ Reckoner.

48
Verse 48

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَآءًۭ وَذِكْرًۭا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Transliteration

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosa wa haaroonal Furqaana wa diyaa'anw wa zikral lilmuttaqeen

Translation

Indeed, We granted Moses and Aaron the standard ˹to distinguish between right and wrong˺—a light and a reminder for the righteous,

49
Verse 49

ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ

Transliteration

Allazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum bilghaibi wa hum minas Saa'ati mushfiqoon

Translation

who are in awe of their Lord without seeing Him, and are fearful of the Hour.

50
Verse 50

وَهَٰذَا ذِكْرٌۭ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ ۚ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ

Transliteration

Wa haazaa Zikrum Mubaarakun anzalnaah; afa antum lahoo munkiroon (section 4)

Translation

And this ˹Quran˺ is a blessed reminder which We have revealed. Will you ˹pagans˺ then deny it?

51
Verse 51

۞ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ رُشْدَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِۦ عَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa laqad aatainaaa Ibraaheema rushdahoo min qablu wa kunnaa bihee 'aalimeen

Translation

And indeed, We had granted Abraham sound judgment early on, for We knew him well ˹to be worthy of it˺.

52
Verse 52

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَٰكِفُونَ

Transliteration

Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maa haazihit tamaaseelul lateee antum lahaa 'aakifoon

Translation

˹Remember˺ when he questioned his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are so devoted?”

53
Verse 53

قَالُوا۟ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا لَهَا عَٰبِدِينَ

Transliteration

Qaaloo wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa lahaa 'aabideen

Translation

They replied, “We found our forefathers worshipping them.”

54
Verse 54

قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

Transliteration

Qaala laqad kuntum antum wa aabaaa'ukum fee dalaalin mubeen

Translation

He responded, “Indeed, you and your forefathers have been clearly astray.”

55
Verse 55

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ

Transliteration

Qaalooo aji'tanaa bil haqqi am anta minal laa'ibeen

Translation

They asked, “Have you come to us with the truth, or is this a joke?”

56
Verse 56

قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا۠ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

Transliteration

Qaala bar Rabbukum Rabbus samaawaati wal ardil lazee fatarahunna wa ana 'alaa zaalikum minash shaahideen

Translation

He replied, “In fact, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them ˹both˺. And to that I bear witness.”

57
Verse 57

وَتَٱللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَٰمَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ

Transliteration

Wa tallaahi la akeedanna asnaamakum ba'da an tuwalloo mudbireen

Translation

˹Then he said to himself,˺ “By Allah! I will surely plot against your idols after you have turned your backs and gone away.”

58
Verse 58

فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَٰذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًۭا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ

Transliteration

Faja'alahum juzaazan illaa kabeeral lahum la'allahum ilaihi yarji'oon

Translation

So he smashed them into pieces, except the biggest of them, so they might turn to it ˹for answers˺.

59
Verse 59

قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Qaaloo man fa'ala haazaa bi aalihatinaaa innahoo laminaz zaalimeen

Translation

They protested, “Who dared do this to our gods? It must be an evildoer!”

60
Verse 60

قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا فَتًۭى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُۥٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Transliteration

Qaaloo sami'naa fatany yazkuruhum yuqaalu lahooo Ibraaheem

Translation

Some said, “We heard a young man, called Abraham, speaking ˹ill˺ of them.”

61
Verse 61

قَالُوا۟ فَأْتُوا۟ بِهِۦ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِ ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ

Transliteration

Qaaloo fa'too bihee 'alaaa a'yunin naasi la'allahum yash hadoon

Translation

They demanded, “Bring him before the eyes of the people, so that they may witness ˹his trial˺.”

62
Verse 62

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Transliteration

Qaalooo 'a-anta fa'alta haazaa bi aalihatinaa yaaa Ibraaheem

Translation

They asked, “Was it you who did this to our gods, O Abraham?”

63
Verse 63

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ يَنطِقُونَ

Transliteration

Qaala bal fa'alahoo kabeeruhum haazaa fas'aloohum in kaanoo yantiqoon

Translation

He replied ˹sarcastically˺, “No, this one—the biggest of them—did it! So ask them, if they can talk!”

64
Verse 64

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Transliteration

Faraja'ooo ilaaa anfusihim faqaalooo innakum antumuz zaalimoon

Translation

So they came back to their senses, saying ˹to one another˺, “You yourselves are truly the wrongdoers!”

65
Verse 65

ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يَنطِقُونَ

Transliteration

Summa nukisoo 'alaa ru'oosihim laqad 'alimta maa haaa'ulaaa'i yantiqoon

Translation

Then they ˹quickly˺ regressed to their ˹original˺ mind-set, ˹arguing,˺ “You already know that those ˹idols˺ cannot talk.”

66
Verse 66

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ

Transliteration

Qaala afata'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'ukum shai'anw wa laa yadurrukum

Translation

He rebuked ˹them˺, “Do you then worship—instead of Allah—what can neither benefit nor harm you in any way?

67
Verse 67

أُفٍّۢ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Transliteration

Uffil lakum wa limaa ta'budoona min doonil laah; afalaa ta'qiloon

Translation

Shame on you and whatever you worship instead of Allah! Do you not have any sense?”

68
Verse 68

قَالُوا۟ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَٰعِلِينَ

Transliteration

Qaaloo harriqoohu wansurooo aalihatakum in kuntum faa'ileen

Translation

They concluded, “Burn him up to avenge your gods, if you must act.”

69
Verse 69

قُلْنَا يَٰنَارُ كُونِى بَرْدًۭا وَسَلَٰمًا عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Transliteration

Qulnaa yaa naaru koonee bardanw wa salaaman 'alaaa Ibraaheem

Translation

We ordered, “O fire! Be cool and safe for Abraham!”

70
Verse 70

وَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ

Transliteration

Wa araadoo bihee kaidan faja'alnaahumul akhsareen

Translation

They had sought to harm him, but We made them the worst losers.

71
Verse 71

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa najjainaahu wa Lootan ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa lil 'aalameen

Translation

Then We delivered him, along with Lot, to the land We had showered with blessings for all people.

72
Verse 72

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةًۭ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا جَعَلْنَا صَٰلِحِينَ

Transliteration

Wa wahabnaa lahooo Ishaaqa; wa Ya'qooba naafilah; wa kullan ja'alnaa saaliheen

Translation

And We blessed him with Isaac ˹as a son˺ and Jacob ˹as a grandson˺, as an additional favour—making all of them righteous.

73
Verse 73

وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَٰبِدِينَ

Transliteration

Wa ja'alnaahum a'immatany yahdoona bi amrinaa wa awhainaaa ilaihim fi'lal khairaati wa iqaamas Salaati wa eetaaa'az Zakaati wa kaanoo lanaa 'aabideen

Translation

We ˹also˺ made them leaders, guiding by Our command, and inspired them to do good deeds, establish prayer, and pay alms-tax. And they were devoted to Our worship.

74
Verse 74

وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًۭا وَعِلْمًۭا وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَ ۗ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍۢ فَٰسِقِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Lootan aatainaahu hukmanw wa 'ilmanw wa najjainaahu minal qaryatil latee kaanat ta'malul khabaaa'is; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in faasiqeen

Translation

And to Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge, and delivered him from the society engrossed in shameful practices. They were certainly an evil, rebellious people.

75
Verse 75

وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Transliteration

Wa adkhalnaahu fee rahmatinaa innahoo minas saaliheen (section 5)

Translation

And We admitted him into Our mercy, ˹for˺ he was truly one of the righteous.

76
Verse 76

وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Transliteration

Wa noohan iz naadaa min qablu fastajabnaa lahoo fanajjainaahu wa ahlahoo minal karbil 'azeem

Translation

And ˹remember˺ when Noah had cried out to Us earlier, so We responded to him and delivered him and his family from the great distress.

77
Verse 77

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍۢ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Transliteration

Wa nasarnaahu minal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in fa-aghraq naahum ajma'een

Translation

And We made him prevail over those who had rejected Our signs. They were truly an evil people, so We drowned them all.

78
Verse 78

وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِى ٱلْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَٰهِدِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Daawooda wa Sulaimaana iz yahkumaani fil harsi iz nafashat feehi ghanamul qawmi wa kunnaa lihukmihim shaahideen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ when David and Solomon passed judgment regarding the crops ruined ˹at night˺ by someone’s sheep, and We were witness to their judgments.

79
Verse 79

فَفَهَّمْنَٰهَا سُلَيْمَٰنَ ۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيْنَا حُكْمًۭا وَعِلْمًۭا ۚ وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَٱلطَّيْرَ ۚ وَكُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

Transliteration

Fafahhamnaahaa sulaimaan; wa kullan aatainaa hukmanw wa'ilmanw wa sakh kharnaa ma'a Daawoodal jibaala yusabbihna wattayr; wa kunnaa faa'ileen

Translation

We guided ˹young˺ Solomon to a fairer settlement, and granted each of them wisdom and knowledge. We subjected the mountains as well as the birds to hymn ˹Our praises˺ along with David. It is We Who did ˹it all˺.

80
Verse 80

وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍۢ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَٰكِرُونَ

Transliteration

Wa 'allamnaahu san'ata laboosil lakum lituhsinakum min ba'sikum fahal antum shaakiroon

Translation

We taught him the art of making body armour to protect you in battle. Will you then be grateful?

81
Verse 81

وَلِسُلَيْمَٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةًۭ تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا ۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa li Sulaimaanar reeha 'aasifatan tajree bi amriheee ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa; wa kunnaa bikulli shai'in 'aalimeen

Translation

And to Solomon We subjected the raging winds, blowing by his command to the land We had showered with blessings. It is We Who know everything.

82
Verse 82

وَمِنَ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًۭا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَٰفِظِينَ

Transliteration

Wa minash Shayaateeni mai yaghoosoona lahoo wa ya'maloona 'amalan doona zaalika wa kunna lahum haafizeen

Translation

And ˹We subjected˺ some jinn and performed other duties. It is We Who kept them in check.

83
Verse 83

۞ وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Ayyooba iz naadaa Rabbahooo annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ when Job cried out to his Lord, “I have been touched with adversity, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.”

84
Verse 84

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرٍّۢ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰبِدِينَ

Transliteration

Fastajabnaa lahoo fakashaf naa maa bihee min durrinw wa aatainaahu ahlahoo wa mislahum ma'ahum rahmatan min 'indinaa wa zikraa lil'aabideen

Translation

So We answered his prayer and removed his adversity, and gave him back his family, twice as many, as a mercy from Us and a lesson for the ˹devoted˺ worshippers.

85
Verse 85

وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ كُلٌّۭ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Ismaa'eela wa Idreesa wa Zal Kifli kullum minas saabireen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ Ishmael, Enoch, and Ⱬul-Kifl. They were all steadfast.

86
Verse 86

وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Transliteration

Wa adkhalnaahum fee rahmatinaa innahum minas saaliheen

Translation

We admitted them into Our mercy, for they were truly of the righteous.

87
Verse 87

وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَٰضِبًۭا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Zan Nooni iz zahaba mughaadiban fa zannaa al lan naqdira 'alaihi fanaadaa fiz zulumaati al laaa ilaaha illaaa Anta Subhaanaka innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ when the Man of the Whale stormed off ˹from his city˺ in a rage, thinking We would not restrain him. he cried out, “There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.”

88
Verse 88

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُۨجِى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Transliteration

Fastajabnaa lahoo wa najjainaahu minal ghamm; wa kazaalika nunjil mu'mineen

Translation

So We answered his prayer and rescued him from anguish. And so do We save the ˹true˺ believers.

89
Verse 89

وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًۭا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Zakariyyaaa iz naadaa Rabbahoo Rabbi laa tazarnee fardanw wa Anta khairul waariseen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ when Zachariah cried out to his Lord, “My Lord! Do not leave me childless, though You are the Best of Successors.”

90
Verse 90

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًۭا وَرَهَبًۭا ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ

Transliteration

Fastajabnaa lahoo wa wahabnaa lahoo Yahyaa Wa aslahnaa lahoo zawjah; innahum kaanoo yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa yad'oonanaa raghabanw wa rahabaa; wa kaanoo lanaa khaashi'een

Translation

So We answered his prayer, granted him John, and made his wife fertile. Indeed, they used to race in doing good, and call upon Us with hope and fear, totally humbling themselves before Us.

91
Verse 91

وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Transliteration

Wallateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehaa min roohinaa wa ja'alnaahaa wabnahaaa Aayatan lil'aalameen

Translation

And ˹remember˺ the one who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her through Our angel, ˹Gabriel,˺ making her and her son a sign for all peoples.

92
Verse 92

إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

Transliteration

Inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fa'budoon

Translation

˹O prophets!˺ Indeed, this religion of yours is ˹only˺ one, and I am your Lord, so worship Me ˹alone˺.

93
Verse 93

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَٰجِعُونَ

Transliteration

Wa taqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum kullun ilainaaa raaji'oon (section 6)

Translation

Yet the people have divided it into sects. But to Us they will all return.

94
Verse 94

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَٰتِبُونَ

Transliteration

Famai ya'mal minas saalihaati wa huwa mu'minun falaa kufraana lisa'yihee wa innaa lahoo kaatiboon

Translation

So whoever does good and is a believer will never be denied ˹the reward for˺ their striving, for We are recording it all.

95
Verse 95

وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Transliteration

Wa haraamun 'alaa qaryatin ahlaknaahaaa annahum laa yarji'oon

Translation

It is impossible for a society which We have destroyed to ever rise again,

96
Verse 96

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍۢ يَنسِلُونَ

Transliteration

Hattaaa izaa futihat Ya'jooju wa Ma'jooju wa hum min kulli hadabiny yansiloon

Translation

until ˹after˺ Gog and Magog have broken loose ˹from the barrier˺, swarming down from every hill,

97
Verse 97

وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Waqtarabal wa'dul haqqu fa-izaa hiya shaakhisatun absaarul lazeena kafaroo yaawailanaa qad kunna fee ghaflatin min haaza bal kunnaa zaalimeen

Translation

ushering in the True Promise. Then—behold!—the disbelievers will stare ˹in horror, crying,˺ “Oh, woe to us! We have truly been heedless of this. In fact, we have been wrongdoers.”

98
Verse 98

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ

Transliteration

Innakum wa maa ta'budoona min doonil laahi hasabu Jahannama antum lahaa waaridoon

Translation

Certainly you ˹disbelievers˺ and whatever you worship instead of Allah will be the fuel of Hell. You are ˹all˺ bound to enter it.

99
Verse 99

لَوْ كَانَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ءَالِهَةًۭ مَّا وَرَدُوهَا ۖ وَكُلٌّۭ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

Transliteration

Law kaana haaa'ulaaa'i aalihatan maa waradoohaa wa kullun feehaa khaalidoon

Translation

Had those idols been ˹true˺ gods, they would not have entered it. And they will be there forever.

100
Verse 100

لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌۭ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ

Transliteration

Lahum feehaa zafeerunw wa hum feehaa laa yasma'oon

Translation

In it they will groan, and will not be able to hear.

101
Verse 101

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ

Transliteration

Innal lazeena sabaqat lahum minnal husnaaa ulaaa'ika 'anhaa mub'adoon

Translation

Surely those for whom We have destined the finest reward will be kept far away from Hell,

102
Verse 102

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا ۖ وَهُمْ فِى مَا ٱشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ

Transliteration

Laa yasma'oona hasee sahaa wa hum fee mash tahat anfusuhum khaalidoon

Translation

not even hearing the slightest hissing from it. And they will delight forever in what their souls desire.

103
Verse 103

لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ ٱلْفَزَعُ ٱلْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

Transliteration

Laa yahzunuhumul faza'ul akbaru wa tatalaq qaahumul malaaa'ikatu haazaa Yawmukumul lazee kuntum too'adoon

Translation

The Supreme Horror ˹of that Day˺ will not disturb them, and the angels will greet them, ˹saying,˺ “This is your Day, which you have been promised.”

104
Verse 104

يَوْمَ نَطْوِى ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَطَىِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَآ أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍۢ نُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

Transliteration

Yawma natwis samaaa'a kataiyis sijilli lilkutub; kamaa bada'naa awwala khalqin nu'eeduh; wa'dan 'alainaa; innaa kunna faa'ileen

Translation

On that Day We will roll up the heavens like a scroll of writings. Just as We produced the first creation, ˹so˺ shall We reproduce it. That is a promise binding on Us. We truly uphold ˹Our promises˺!

105
Verse 105

وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ

Transliteration

Wa laqad katabnaa fiz Zaboori min ba'diz zikri annal arda yarisuhaa 'ibaadi yas saalihoon

Translation

Surely, following the ˹heavenly˺ Record, We decreed in the Scriptures: “My righteous servants shall inherit the land.”

106
Verse 106

إِنَّ فِى هَٰذَا لَبَلَٰغًۭا لِّقَوْمٍ عَٰبِدِينَ

Transliteration

Inna fee haaza labalaa ghal liqawmin 'aabideen

Translation

Surely this ˹Quran˺ is sufficient ˹as a reminder˺ for those devoted to worship.

107
Verse 107

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa maaa arsalnaaka illaa rahmatal lil'aalameen

Translation

We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world.

108
Verse 108

قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Transliteration

Qul innamaa yoohaa ilaiya annamaaa ilaahukum illaahunw Waahid, fahal antum muslimoon

Translation

Say, “What has been revealed to me is this: ‘Your God is only One God.’ Will you then submit?”

109
Verse 109

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ ءَاذَنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍۢ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌۭ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ

Transliteration

Fa in tawallaw faqul aazantukum 'alaa sawaaa'; wa in adreee aqareebun am ba'eedun maa too'adoon

Translation

If they turn away, then say, “I have warned you all equally. I do not know if what you are threatened with is near or far.

110
Verse 110

إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ

Transliteration

Innahoo ya'lamul jahra minal qawli wa ya'lamu maa taktumoon

Translation

Allah surely knows what you say openly and whatever you hide.

111
Verse 111

وَإِنْ أَدْرِى لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌۭ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

Transliteration

Wa in adree la'allahoo fitnatul lakum wa mataa'un ilaaheen

Translation

I do not know if this ˹delay˺ is possibly a test for you and an enjoyment for a while.”

112
Verse 112

قَٰلَ رَبِّ ٱحْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَرَبُّنَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ ٱلْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَىٰ مَا تَصِفُونَ

Transliteration

Qaala Rabbih kum bil haqq; wa Rabbunar Rahmaa nul musta'aanu 'alaa maa tasifoon

Translation

˹In the end,˺ the Prophet said, “My Lord! Judge ˹between us˺ in truth. And our Lord is the Most Compassionate, Whose help is sought against what you claim.”
