ʿUmayr, the freed slave of Ābī al-Laḥm al-Ghifārī (may Allah be pleased with him), reported: I witnessed Khaybar together with my masters, and they spoke to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ about me, so he gave me permission . I was girded with a sword, and found myself dragging it along . When he was informed that I was a slave, he ordered that I be given a small portion of the goods. Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 326
