Al-Sāʾib ibn Yazīd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I went out with the boys to Thaniyyat al-Wadāʿ to welcome the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ upon his return from the campaign of Tabūk. Sufyān once narrated it as: “I remember the Prophet’s ﷺ arrival, when the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ returned from Tabūk.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 256
