Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ offered to grant us a portion of land in Bahrain, but we said, “We will not accept that unless you grant something similar to our brothers the Muhājirūn.” He said, “You will encounter people who prefer themselves over you after I am gone, so be patient until you meet me .” They said, “We will be patient.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 206
