حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ: سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ، فَقَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ ثَمَرَةِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ». قِيلَ لِأَنَسٍ: مَا تَزْهُو؟ قَالَ: «تَحْمَرُّ».

Ḥumayd reported: “Anas was asked about the sale of fruit. He said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ prohibited the sale of the dates of a palm tree until they begin to ripen (tuzhī).’ Anas was asked: ‘What is tuzhī?’ He said: ‘It turns reddish.’” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 186
