Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ arrived in Madīnah and the people of Madīnah had two days on which they used to celebrate and play. He said: “I have come to you and you have two days on which you play. Allah has replaced them for you with two days that are better: the day of ʿĪd al-Fiṭr and the day of ʿĪd al-Naḥr.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 117
