Ismāʻīl narrated to us: ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz ibn Ṣuhayb narrated to us, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said, “Muʻādh used to lead his people in prayer. Ḥarām came, intending to water his palm trees, and entered the mosque to pray with the people; but when he saw that Muʻādh had prolonged , he shortened his own prayer, finished, and went off to water his palms. When Muʻādh finished his prayer, he was told, ‘Ḥarām entered the mosque .’” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 77
