Hushaym narrated to us: ʻAlī ibn Zayd informed us from Anas ibn Mālik, who said, “I attended two wedding feasts of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ, and at neither of them did he feed us bread or meat.” It was said, “Then what ?” He said, “Al-ḥays,” that is, stoneless dates mixed with dried yoghurt and clarified butter.
