Sufyān reported from Zayd ibn Aslam that he heard Ibn ʿUmar (رضي الله عنهما) say to his grandson ʿAbdullāh ibn Wāqid: “O my son, I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) say: ‘Allāh will not look upon the one who drags his lower garment (izār) out of arrogance.’“ Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 8
