وَعَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يُسْأَلُ الرَّجُلُ فِيمَا ضَرَبَ امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه

‘Umar reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying, “A man should not be asked about why he beat his wife.” Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
