Jabir told that a man came to God's messenger asking him for food and he gave him half a camel-load of barley. The man, his wife and their guest kept on eating of it till he measured it, and then it came to an end. He went to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said to him, "If you had not measured it you would have eaten of it and it would have remained for you." Muslim transmitted it.
